Vyvgart® (efgartigimod) is an FDA-approved IV infusion therapy for adults with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) who are positive for anti-acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibodies. In gMG, the immune system produces harmful IgG autoantibodies that interfere with nerve-to-muscle communication, leading to muscle weakness, fatigue, and difficulty performing everyday tasks such as walking, lifting, speaking, or swallowing.
Vyvgart® works by blocking the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which is responsible for maintaining IgG levels in the blood. By reducing these damaging autoantibodies, Vyvgart® helps restore normal nerve-muscle communication, improving muscle strength, reducing fatigue, and enhancing daily functioning.
Delivered as an IV infusion at our specialized infusion center, Vyvgart® ensures controlled dosing, careful monitoring, and one-on-one support from trained nurses throughout treatment.
