Biography

Dr. Dinesh Sivakolundu is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained neuroimmunologist who specializes in caring for people with multiple sclerosis and other complex autoimmune and inflammatory disorders of the nervous system. He completed his neurology residency at the Yale University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident of Innovation and Research, followed by fellowship training in neuroimmunology and neuroinflammation at Weill Cornell Medicine. With rigorous training as both a physician and neuroscientist (Ph.D. in brain health and imaging from the University of Texas at Dallas), Dr. Sivakolundu is positioned at the forefront of neurological care and research. His research focuses on how the brain’s blood vessels, lymphatic system, and immune pathways contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, cognitive decline, and disease progression in multiple sclerosis. He continues to publish widely in top-tier journals, and has earned national research awards, including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Clinician Scientist Development Award. Clinically, Dr. Sivakolundu possesses specialized expertise in advanced neuroimaging interpretation, lumbar punctures, spasticity management (including botulinum toxin injections), and headache treatment. He is dedicated to partnering with individuals and families in their care, combining cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies with compassion to work toward the best possible outcomes and quality of life. Beyond the clinic, Dr. Sivakolundu is an innovator and entrepreneur. He founded Solliva, a digital platform designed to improve communication between patients and their clinical providers, and Shrudin Solutions, a consulting firm for healthcare innovation. Outside of medicine, he is a table tennis athlete and moreover enjoys piano, coding, and spending time with his wife and dog.
